Discover The Northern Part Of Vietnam Tour
Upon arrival at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, our guide will welcome you by holding a sign with your name on it. After approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour of transfer, you will be at your hotel for check-in.
Start your half-day city tour with a visit to the Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam built in 1070 by the Ly Dynasty to honor Confucius, sages, and outstanding Vietnamese scholars. After that, head to the city center to visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple located on an islet in the lake. Hoan Kiem Lake is the center point of Hanoi and home to a rare endangered giant turtle species. Its name “Returned Sword” comes from a legend of a sacred sword being lent to an ancient Vietnamese King by a holy turtle from the lake and later returned to the turtle. Then, enjoy a cup of coffee at a street corner cafe shop while watching the city's daily life.

The traditional trades of brocade making and silver and bronze smith are still practiced nowadays by villagers after numerous generations of their ancestors. You can see Hmong women in their looms weaving fabrics, which will be later on dyed with sap from leaves for the desired coloration. Your walk through the village will take you to Tien Sa waterfall where a French-built hydropower station has been in service since 1920. Leave Cat Cat village and trek a 5 km winding trail by mountainside along a small river in a tranquil setting of hilly land with terraced paddy fields. Arrive in Y Linh Ho village, another Hmong residence characterized by simple houses built of bamboo and clay.
